The Dhading District Administration Office (DAO) today imposed a curfew on the highways in the district from 9 pm to 4 am until further notice. The curfew will be in effect from today.
According to the DAO order, the curfew will be imposed on the areas around the Prithvi highway from Nagdhunga of Kathmandu to Mouwa River in Jogimara-9 of the district. Prithvi Highway is the major highway linking the capital with the rest of the country.
Citing that the curfew was imposed to maintain peace in the district, Chief District Officer of Dhading Ram Sharan Chimoriya said the curfew was imposed on all blacktopped roads of the district, including the district headquarters.
Similarly, the curfew will be in place from Kumpur-3 to Murali Bhanjyang along the Kalu Pandey Highway.
The curfew was imposed in accordance with Section (6) 1 of the Local Administration Act, 2028.
