The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has said that it has arranged bus service for tourists and other passengers arriving at and departing from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) for the period of the general strike.
Talking to Nepalnews on Thursday, spokesperson of the NTB, Aditya Baral, said that a help desk has been set up at the TIA to receive the passengers. They would be escorted to their destinations through three different routes.
Three shuttle buses of NTB and four buses of Sajha Yatayat have been arranged for the service. The frequency of buses traveling through these routes has been increased from the last time out.
Baral said that the service would be available from 6 a.m. until the last flight takes off from the TIA. "The help desk would arrange for passes to the passengers if flights arrived after curfew was imposed in the night.," he said.
He added that there would not be much problem as a few private taxis are also providing services from the airport.
